Chiropractic Success Stories

What Our Practice Members
Have to Say

At our office, we see what our practice members have to say playing out as miracles on a daily basis and it’s hard not to take them for granted. For many of our patients, the changes that they or their family members experience are profound and have a major impact on their quality of life.

Whether something as simple as getting out of pain, relieving chronic headaches, enjoying a more comfortable pregnancy, stopping bedwetting in their child, or having a better breast feeding relationship with their baby, each patient has a personal story to share. Here are a few we would like to share with you.

Our Success Stories

Prenatal Chiropractic/Breech Baby

I was pregnant with my second baby and decided to start seeing Dr. Trudell around 34 weeks to help with back pain and just normal pregnancy “uncomfortableness”. At about 36 weeks it was determined that my baby was in the breech position. When we found that out I started seeing Dr. Trudell more often to make sure everything was aligned and to possibly help baby get in the correct position. At 37 weeks we had an ECV (External cephalic version) scheduled to turn the baby, as it turned out the baby had turned on its own! Not only did Dr. Trudell provide adjustments to make sure everything was in the optimal position but also sent me home with different exercises to do to even further help flip my daughter. It was extremely important for me to flip my baby because I really wanted to have a natural birth and if baby remained breech, that wouldn’t have happened.

There were so many more benefits besides just helping flip my baby, she was able to help lower back pain that I was having and overall helped with discomforts due to being pregnant.

I was thankfully able to have a quick natural birth and I attribute that to all the work and help from Dr. Trudell making sure everything was in the right position. I have now used Dr. Trudell for both my daughters and plan to continue visiting her with any future pregnancies.

Dr. Trudell adjustments helped me so much with both my pregnancies. Her gentle approach and knowledge made me feel at ease and I trusted her with my rapidly changing body. Brenda particularly helped with my low back pain and lower abdomen pain as my belly grew for the first time. During my second pregnancy she helped tremendously with my low back, sacrum, and tailbone pain. I highly recommend Dr.Trudell as a care provider during pregnancy, she is a wealth of knowledge about her profession and especially pregnancy and newborns. Both my kids were adjusted within their first week of being born too!

When I was 32 weeks pregnant my midwife discovered our baby was footling breech. We were planning a home birth and were devastated at the prospect of anything complicating a safe home birth. I began seeing Dr. Brenda for chiropractic and Angie for Mayan abdominal massage, and I’m so grateful I did! Not only did the treatments improve baby’s position, they also alleviated some minor aches and pains of pregnancy. We had our beautiful baby at home with a very efficient 4 hour labor and a speedy post-partum recovery. Much thanks to the practitioners at New Beginnings Chiropractic!

Pediatric Chiropractic/Nighttime Bed Wetting

As a mom in her 30’s, I have had regular chiropractic care for myself since childhood. I have had many different chiropractors in the different towns I have lived. I can say that Brenda is far and above the best chiropractor I have ever visited. She is gentle, yet very effective. Her techniques with adjustments, massage, exercises, nutrition and essential oils are so much more effective than the traditional types of chiropractic care I grew up with.

I had taken my 7 year old daughter to medical doctors and therapists for bed-wetting over several years. We even got a bed-wetting alarm that she would wear to help her to wake up before she wet. We found she was having to go to the bathroom up to 7 times every night. We were all desperate for help, especially my daughter. I had heard that chiropractic care may help with bed-wetting and that Brenda was really great with kids, so I thought we would try. Brenda was very thorough in her assessment and gentle in her adjustment. It only took one or two adjustments and my daughter was completely better. She has never had these problems again. My daughter has continued to see Brenda for sports injuries, stomach aches, and head aches. In fact, she asks to go when these issues come up.

When I was about 6 months pregnant I developed horrible sciatica and back pain–to the point where I could barely walk. I remember hobbling into Dr. Trudell’s office in a last ditch effort to find some relief. I was about to give up because massage and seeing my regular chiropractor just seemed to make it all worse. As a busy mom and doula, not moving for 3 months just wasn’t an option. I started experiencing relief almost immediately. Brenda was so much more knowledgable about the specifics of my condition due to my pregnancy than my previous chiropractor. I kept seeing her throughout the rest of my pregnancy even after I could walk normally again because she released so much tightness in my leg, hip, back and pelvic muscles. I looked forward to these appointments as nurturing moments in my pregnancy, as well as moments of physical relief. You can tell that Brenda cares about her patient’s entire wellbeing. I went into my labor and birth relaxed, strong, healthy, fit, and with trust in my body, and I think that Brenda had a lot to do with that. I would absolutely recommend her to all my pregnant friends and clients.

I developed SI (hip) joint problems late in my second pregnancy and experienced pain in my lower back and shooting pains down my left leg any time I put weight on it. The pain thankfully went away after having my daughter, but I would still have occasional flareups when I would exercise without stretching or lift something wrong. 2.5 years later, I became pregnant with my third child, and the SI problems started again almost immediately. By 10 weeks, I was barely able to walk normally. After visiting a standard chiropractor twice, I knew I needed to see someone who specialized in pregnant women. The adjustments with Dr. Trudell are done laying on my belly or back using special pregnancy pillows- not with me propped up awkwardly on my side. Dr. Trudell also releases the ligaments in my belly, allowing my baby to have more room to turn head-down and overall making everything about carrying a baby more comfortable. I’m 33 weeks now and have been seeing Dr. Trudell every week or two. The adjustments have made this pregnancy so much more comfortable than my last!

Pediatric Chiropractic/Autism/Vertigo

We first came to New Beginnings Chiropractic for my son who has autism. A friend of mine recommended Dr. Brenda Trudell. We have been very happy with services we have received. My very energetic 9 year old son does well with the adjustments. They seem to calm him down a bit and I believe regular adjustments are helping to keep him on track at school. Its hard to explain but I get that gut feeling that this is what his body needs right now. I have been adjusted as well. Originally I had an issue with a rib out of place. After a couple adjustments I was feeling much better and I can say it is no longer a problem for me at all. I have also had occasional, but increasingly worse, problems with vertigo over the past 6 years. Dr. Brenda Trudell was very knowledgeable and helped me to understand causes of vertigo and walked me through the Epley maneuver. I am currently vertigo free and hoping to stay that way! Busy mom’s don’t have time to be laid up. I am very grateful to New Beginnings Chiropractic and Dr. Brenda Trudell for the care she has given me and my son.

I want to say thanks to Doctor Brenda and her team for treating me during my pregnancy. I had a lot of sciatica and lower back pain. The adjustments helped me a lot with the discomfort pain and lack of sleep during my whole pregnancy. Doctor Brenda is so knowledgeable, kind and flexible. She is always willing to make room in her busy schedule to see me, and she takes the time to explain everything to make sure we know what she is doing and why. She goes above and beyond to make us feel better.
I strongly recommend New Beginnings Chiropractic to everyone, but specially to those dealing with back, sciatica and hip pain, especially pregnant woman.

Prenatal Chiropractic

During my pregnancy I was experiencing significant rib and hip pain. The rib pain was most bothersome during the day and I had trouble finding relief. I also had difficulty sleeping as a result of hip pain that started early in my pregnancy. I was referred to Dr Trudell at New Beginnings Chiropractic. After just a few treatments with Dr Trudell both my rib and hip pain started to improve. I could sleep again and was able to enjoy the rest of my pregnancy. I would highly recommend regular chiropractic care from Dr Trudell for pregnant women. She is very knowledgeable and really listens to your concerns. I’m so grateful for the care she provided during my pregnancy.

Prenatal Chiropractic

I am so glad that I made the decision to seek chiropractic care from Dr. Trudell. I went in with sciatic pain and pelvic pain and she helped reduce the pain of both. Dr. Trudell also gave me exercises to do at home to further aid in recovery. I had an amazing birth with no complications and I truly feel this was a direct result of the chiropractic care I received. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Trudell and New Beginnings Chiropractic to anyone who is experiencing pain due to pregnancy or just wants their body to be in optimal condition for the birthing process.

Prenatal Chiropractic

I started seeing Brenda for chiropractic adjustments at the beginning of my second trimester. I had never been to a chiropractor before, and I didn’t know what to expect. I just knew that this pregnancy (my third) was different…my hips were aching to the point that I couldn’t move around without pain at night and my pelvis felt like it was falling apart! I couldn’t imagine making it another six months, especially with a four year old and two year old to take care of. I knew that Brenda had taken a birth doula training and was well-versed in how the woman’s body reacts and changes during pregnancy. She was able to make my adjustments based on what I was telling her about how my body was feeling. I felt the difference after just one adjustment! I continued to receive adjustments monthly throughout my second and into my third trimesters. At that point, due to the relaxin in my body, I went more often. As my baby grew, I could tell that the adjustments were also opening up my pelvic area and allowing my baby to get in a better position for labor. I am now two weeks away from my due date, and I can’t imagine having made it through this pregnancy without all the pain I had earlier. Chiropractic care during pregnancy is something that I plan on recommending to anyone already having discomfort during their pregnancy or even as a preventative measure.
